| Award for e-media excellence |

It’s official. We’re a bunch of techie, boffin types after winning an award for the Best Use of Electronic Media at the Society of Independent Brewers’ Brewing Business Awards 2009.
The award recognised our ability to develop ‘a fresh, engaging and effective social media strategy using Twitter and Facebook.’
Since launching the strategy earlier this year, we have managed to raise our profile, engage with beer writers and connect with real ale fans across the UK. Among the popular initiatives were the Ugly Dog competition, a monthly prize draw for Twitter followers, as well as up-to-date information about the festivals and events we attended over the summer.
Our MD Paul Halsey said: “Purity is a fresh, funky and innovative brand, which is why we wanted to replicate this in our social media marketing campaign. While the traditional methods of marketing are still important to us, I feel that it’s crucial to embrace new avenues in order to spread the Purity message.”
