“Purity – its bloody lovely!” said Moseley Folk Festival co-producer Carl Philips. Well, what can be said to that other than we agree…?
Hence, we’re naturally thrilled to announce our forthcoming sponsorship of Moseley Folk Festival 2008 which returns bigger and bolder to Moseley Park, Alcester Road, Birmingham on 29, 30 & 31 August. We’ve got 3 pairs of adult weekend tickets to give away in a special competition so read on.
Like us, this up and coming festival has only been going for 3 years and we hope to grow with them in the future. It is already gaining a national reputation and is set to have another cracking event with a more impressive line up than ever.

The festival features a three-day mix of the best traditional and contemporary folk around including Jose Gonzales, Morcheeba, The Bees, Seth Lakeman and so many more.
As well as sponsoring one of the main acts, Purity will be supplying the festival bar with the likes of Pure UBU, Pure Gold, Veltins and Pure Czech.
Carl added: “We think Purity is the ideal partner to supply the beer – we love the stuff! It’s all about giving Moseley folk festival goers a cracking pint of real ale, folkeys love their beer and they will not be disappointed with our new supplier.
Also, in this day and age it’s about food miles and we were happy to find out Purity was the closest brewery to Moseley Park which compliments our aim to source local food and drink.”
Our own Paul Halsey said "Purity Brewing Co is absolutely delighted to be involved with Moseley Folk Festival 2008. The eclectic music on offer is rightfully supported with the best local ale and imported lagers available."
The event is held in the picturesque private park tucked off Alcester road in the heart of Moseley. Leafy and clean, it's the perfect place for a music festival, tucked out of the way in the heart of the city.
Camping is not allowed but pretty much everything else goes and kids are particularly well catered for with masses of space for them to run around safely.
As well as a heap of great music there’ll be loads of other things to keep you occupied such as plenty of fine food (including an organic pig roast), Morris Dancing on the village green, Ceilidhs in the dance tent, music making workshops, extreme knitting (!!!!) a healing zone, kid’s story telling, eco-powered fairground rides and plenty of balloons!
