The year has ended on a high note with the great news that our golden ale Pure Gold (3.8 ABV) has won 2nd place in the Bitter category of the West Midlands CAMRA Beer of the Year 2007.
CAMRA which stands for the Campaign for Real Ale is the country’s largest consumer group and has been campaigning for Real Ale, pubs and drinkers rights since 1971 - so they know a thing or too about good beer!
West Midlands CAMRA is the overall regional grouping which includes all our local branches such as Shakespeare, Heart of Warwickshire, Redditch and Bromsgrove and Solihull, so cheers everyone!
The category was judged at the Wolverhampton Beer Festival back in June 2007 but the winners were only recently revealed at the awards ceremony which was held at the Barton Arms in Birmingham on Saturday 29 December where Purity director Paul Evans was on hand to receive the glad tidings.
