We a food champion – its official!
We’re pleased to announce that Purity Brewing Co has been nominated a Royal Agricultural Society of England Food Champion 2008 for our collaboration and contribution to agriculture.
The awards, which started in 2007, recognise the contribution that individuals/companies make to independent British food retailing, rather than judging specific products.
We were deemed to be “A clear example of innovation in a crowded area of the market whilst exceeding stated criteria.” Judges included Sheila Dillon of BBC Radio 4’s Food Programme and John Farrand from the Guild of Fine Food.
The award was open to any independent food exhibitor at the Royal Show and the assessment criteria were:
- Innovation in production and marketing, including sustainability
- Connecting with the consumer: engaging customers, education, enthusiasm
- Contribution to British food and farming
- Product taste
As our mission statement says “Purity Brewing Co is a company dedicated to making a difference.” |
