In the very early days we wanted to produce a beer that would lure people away from lagers by creating a golden ale that could be served refreshingly cool, have a clean crisp flavour and sessionable ABV. Pure Gold was born and provides that great refreshing pint. As well as attracting new drinkers to the cask category it became a talking point among beer aficionados for its modernist take on the traditional gold or blond ale.

The cockerel logo evokes the early starts our brewers make in order to brew Pure Quality into every pint.

Tasting Notes: A bright, golden ale with a crisp, refreshing character. Light biscuity malt provides a gentle undertone, while citrus and floral hop aromas bring a zesty lift.

Food Pairing: Fish and chips, grilled chicken or salads, or with mild and creamy cheeses.
