Pure UBU – Full-Flavoured Amber Ale by Purity Brewing | 4.5% ABV | Vegan

No beer better represents our Great Beer, Real Character values than Pure UBU (pronounced OO BOO). It has been a much-loved and familiar favourite in our West Midlands heartland since first being brewed in 2005. Adding a citrus hop twist with vibrant aroma to a traditional amber ale lifted UBU above the crowd of samey brown beers and placed it at the top of the list for fans of great cask ale.

Interesting fact. The illustrated dog on the bottle was actually based on a farm dog called Tess. If you want to know how the name UBU came about, you’ll have to buy a bottle or two… or join us on one of our Saturday Brewery Tours.

Not a review about the beer as it never arrived. Placed an order on 19 September with a 2 to 5 day delivery. Order failed to arrive so I contacted customer services who promptly raised a replacement order. Unfortunately the second order also failed to arrive. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to the UBU. Hopefully my order reimbursement will be processed promptly.

Order 2063 date 19th Sept. No delivery message received and no delivery. 29th phoned you. 30th you called me. Half of order arrived 2nd Oct in damaged carton. 2nd half reordered as 2199 on 30th Sept. Still no sign of delivery date.

Sadly I never received my order. Either of my orders in fact. The first one seemed to be in limbo with DPD and never arrived so I got in touch with customer services who dispatched a second order. Same story, never arrived. A month of trying to suckle upon that sweet sweet nectar but to no avail. Still giving 5 stars as Ubu is my favourite beer and Purity my favourite brewery. Seemed more like a courier issue than a brewery issue. Will try again at some point 🍻

UBU is a really refreshing drink however the delivery is awful ,didn't know when it was being delivered told we've got your order then out for delivery, then nothing then email saying we will deliver on Tuesday trouble is it was Thursday I'd ordered them for specific occasion. Not using again
